Lichene is designed for women seeking space to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and experience the restorative power of movement, nature, and community.
No previous Pilates experience is required. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have years of experience, you are welcome here.
-
Our name is inspired by lichen, one of nature’s oldest and most resilient living partnerships. Lichen thrives through symbiosis—a quiet collaboration between organisms that creates something stronger together than apart.
That philosophy shapes everything we do. We believe wellbeing flourishes through balance, movement, nourishment, meaningful connection, and time spent in nature. Every Lichene Retreat is designed to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and return home feeling more grounded than when you arrived.
-
Each retreat includes thoughtfully curated accommodation, daily Pilates and movement sessions, nourishing meals, workshops, selected excursions, and a carefully designed itinerary with plenty of time to rest and explore.
Specific inclusions vary by retreat and are outlined on each retreat page.
-
Flights, travel insurance, visas (where applicable), personal expenses, alcoholic beverages unless otherwise specified, and any optional activities are not included.
-
Not at all.
Our movement sessions are designed to meet you where you are. Whether you’re completely new to Pilates or have been practising for years, modifications and progressions will be offered throughout the retreat.
-
Meals are inspired by seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and celebrate the flavours of the region we’re visiting.
Our menus focus on fresh, nourishing food designed to support both movement and relaxation.

Many of our guests come on their own, and one of the most rewarding parts of a Lichene Retreat is the friendships that naturally form throughout the experience.
-
While travel insurance is not required, it is strongly recommended. We encourage all guests to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, medical expenses, travel delays, and lost or delayed baggage.
Travel insurance provides peace of mind should unexpected circumstances arise before or during your retreat. Lichene Retreats cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to cancellations, travel disruptions, illness, or other unforeseen events.

We’ll send you a detailed packing guide before your retreat.
In general, we recommend bringing comfortable movement clothing, walking shoes, swimwear (where applicable), sunscreen, and a light layer for cooler evenings.

While every retreat includes curated experiences, we intentionally leave space in the itinerary for rest and spontaneity. Whether you choose to journal, read by the pool, explore the local village, or simply enjoy a quiet moment with a coffee, the time is yours.
We believe some of the most meaningful moments happen in the spaces between.
